Among the many cities I have visited during my Europe trip, Venice is the most interesting and romantic one.
There are water taxis, buses, delivery boats, police, and ambulances; in addition to the many personal watercraft and the famous gondolas. That's why it's also known as "city of water".
My hubby and me really enjoyed the scene, food and of course the gondola ride (despite being super expensive) that brought us the sweet moment in this magical and beautiful city.
We were at pier waiting for the water taxi to Piazza San Marco.
Thanks god for giving us a bright and sunny day. The clear blue sky got us excited about the time we were going to spend at Venice!
We were almost there.....
And finally, here I am with the gondolas ♥♥♥
The gondoliers look super handsome and smart!
I ♥ this building so much! The design really looks like Tiffany & Co's key pendant!
So many pigeons flying here and there!
Pigeons and me at Piazza San Marco ^^ Piazza San Marco is the lowest point in Venice and when it rains heavy, it floods.
Italy jump!!!
Our Venice tour guide! I only listened to less than 10% of her history telling because it was too boring. She just introduced the building without bringing us there. What's the point of standing still at one place listening to her history without having chance to take photos? I'm not a history or culture person honestly. I just love to enjoy the scenery, explore the place on my foot at the maximum and take as much photos as possible.
Basilica di San Marco. In Italian, basilica means church.
Crossing the first bridge in Venice and heading for Murano glassmaking.
Glassmaking demonstrated by a handsome Italian!
In less than 2 minutes, a beautiful and fine Murano glass horse was done!
The iconic gondolas, they are everywhere.
And finally it's our free time to explore this mysterious maze of streets! You really will be lost if you don't remember the way or the landmark because every street or canal looks the same.
Another great building! Every corner is a good place for photo shooting!
Simply love the sun ray
The colorful and artful array of the iconic masks of Venice
Walking on the streets
Which one to choose? *Undecisive
Let me try this on!
Photos with two gondoliers
Venice flaunts her beauty in the most obvious ways.....
Simply beautiful!
And finally it's lunch time! Super love this shot!
Our restaurant! Warm decor with super warm temperature
This was one of the Italian cuisines, squid ink spaghetti. Looked terrible but it tasted unexpectedly good!
This seafood plater was just so so. My stomach was full after having the pasta
The cut throat prices gondola rides seemed a little crazy, but didn't stop us from taking one. It cost 80 Euros for a smaller gondola for six persons. But I insisted to take the ride with only hubby, so that we could have our most romantic moment in Venice.
I'm going to bring you to experience the gondola ride in this beautiful water city
Are you ready?
The Bridge of Sighs, one of the important landmark in Venice
Trying to stand up when the gondola was moving!
The gondola ride brought us through history, experiencing achingly beautiful classic Venetian water scenes
Very vibrant and colorful and lively and artful
Playing with the water ^^
30 minutes of the gondola ride passed too fast! And last but not least, my hubby and me with the gondolier.
We love Venice ♥♥♥
To unlock the secrets of mysterious Venice, you really have to experience the gondola ride!
