Tokyo is a lively city that offers unlimited shopping and entertainment.
We stopped by at the most popular entertainment and red-light district, Kabukicho when we arrived Tokyo.
First stop in Tokyo after many hours of sitting in the bus.
Kabukicho main street
Went to Don Quijote for shopping. Don Quijote is a very large discount chain store and have many branches in Japan. It's a good place to buy souvenirs, daily goods, cosmetics or fake eyelashes.
Too bad I didn't get anything in this store because I didn't know that they have few more floors upstair. I only got to see some of the cosmetics and clothings at Ground floor. After I returned from Japan, I only found out that the store at Kabukicho has a total of 5 floors.
Busy streets with a lot of buildings
Unlike Kyoto, Tokyo has only a few shrines or temples which are worth visiting for tourists.
Asakusa Shrine is the most popular and impressive shrine that goes back hundreds of years.
I'd say a trip to Tokyo is not complete if you don't visit this place. This is the place that you can experience "tradition" and get away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
Here we are!
OMG! This is so cute!
We had only one hour to visit & shop in this Nakamise area. So we quickly went to Kaminarimon to take photos
Crowded souvenir street. Shopping experience would have been much more better if we come on a weekday.
