Osaka Castle & Shinsaibashi (大阪城公园 & 心斎橋)

Finally here's the first blog post of my Japan trip.

Are you ready?

For your info, we landed at Kansai International Airport, Osaka.

According to my tour guide, Kansai International Airport is the world's first offshore airport, stands on a man-made island. It’s about 5km off the coast. So from far, we can see the airport is floating on the sea. I'm amazed with their sophisticated and advanced technology honestly.

My first gel nail. High-gloss and candy-colored made them look so yummilicious. It's super long-lasting because I observed zero chipping for weeks!

Went through the Japan Immigration with nude make up. Looked super pale at 9am ......

First stop of my day 1 -- OSAKA CASTLE

DSC01351b
This is the park outside Osaka Castle. This park is a very famous sakura viewing spot in Osaka in spring.

Super sunny and we love sunshine so much in this autumn!

Another old ginkgo tree. How good if we could sit on the bench, have some snacks and enjoy the scenery under this beautiful ginkgo tree?

And finally, Osaka Castle.

PB211364b
According to my tourguide, Osaka Castle was originally built by Hideyoshi Toyotomi, a shogun in Japan. I forgot the history of this landmark. Please google if you are interested ^^

Superb view at the park

Second stop -- SHINSAIBASHI SHOPPING DISTRICT

This is the main shopping area in Osaka and even weekdays, you can see huge crowd after school hours and office hours.

What to eat in Osaka? If you ask this question, I believe all will recommend TAKOYAKI

PB211462b
A famous Takoyaki shop for locals

PB211465b
Super big balls with LARGE piece and FRESH octopus which you will not get in Malaysia

PB211473b
Having our first meal in Osaka in the restaurant's first floor that offers a street view

PB211467b
Since we can't understand Japanese words, we chose the best looking Takoyaki according to the fake food samples in the display cases. 500 yen for 6 huge takoyaki

PB211472b
Takoyaki covered by a lot of spring onions and a yummy-looking egg. This takoyaki is totally different with the one we have in Malaysia. Why? No sauce and bonito flakes were added and thus made the taste a bit plain T_T

I was wondering why no sauce for our order and started to look at the shop's menu from first floor. Then I only found out that we ordered something special because the original takoyaki (comes with sauce and bonito flakes) costs only  400 yen. We did not order the original one simply because it wasn't shown as food sample in the display case and no english on their menu  (-_-)

Tour guide recommended this ramen shop to us. Since we were super hungry, we didn't even spend much time to think and straight went to the shop and purchased the food coupon. We were convinced because the shop was full with customers with no empty seats when we first passed by.

600 yen ramen. Love the rich pork bone soup. This bowl of noodles warmed me up in this cold weather

PB211482b
Itadakimasu!

PB211493b
After lunch, we walked towards Shinsaibashi shopping district

PB211457b

PB211504b
Winter clothing. Even more expensive than Zara and MNG.

The cheapest shop in this area is H&M! They were having 50% sales for certain items and winter dawn jacket was only 2000 yen (about RM80)!!! Did not buy it because the jacket was about 1kg and my luggage was already overweight when flying to Osaka. Regret for not buying because finally I managed to upsize my baggage online on the forth day in Japan.

STAY TUNED if you would like to see the heavenly beautiful autumn leaves in Kyoto. It's the highlight of my Japan trip.

As for Shinsaibashi, no doubt I love this huge shopping street, I feel that everything are super expensive there!! I remember I set my eyes on a pair of boots few years ago, end up dint buy it cause way too expensive which I think not worth.
